Southeastern New England's weekly talk radio show analyzing the local, state and national news from the hub: Taunton's WPEP, AM 1570.
Wednesdays, 5:00-7:00 a.m. WPEP
Here are some of the fake commercials that have run on "Dangerous Talk" on WPEP over the past months:
Fake Geico Commercial. Geico Insurance runs commercials on Massachusetts radio and television stations incessantly, touting the "good news" of how drivers can save on their auto insurance by switching to Geico. But Geico, like the rest of the top five insurers nationally, won't insure in Massachusetts because our insurance laws are so messed up here in the Bay State. This "commercial" is a spoof of one of their radio spots that pokes fun at Massachusetts' auto insurance laws. Windows audio format.
Fake Kerry Commerical. This is the commerical Kerry never ran that would have put the Massachusetts senator in the White House. Okay, maybe not. But it sure would have positioned Kerry as a lot tougher on Iraq than Bush. MP3 format.
Fake Bush Commercial. The bumbling Bush explains "I know exactly where I want to lead this country." MP3 format.
The Bush-Kerry Bidding War. This segment isn't really a fake commercial, but I thought it was funny. It's a composite of audio segments from the second Bush-Kerry debate, and pretty much summarizes the bidding war that was the 2004 Presidential campaign. I used it on the show to introduce what would likely happen during the third debate. Windows audio format.
